PRC goes to barangay
Pilar Reading Center volunteers visited Bayawas, Pilar, Sorsogon, one upland barangay in town of Pilar, Sorsogon to share love of reading.
Thirty five kids (37) from kinder and grade school assembled in the Barangay Day Care Center for the #ReadAndReach literacy program of Pilar Reading Center.
Chloe Ann S. Arias, PRC treasurer and volunteer, shares “Bakit Matagal Ang Sundo Ko” ni Kristine Canon. She encouraged the attendees to verbalize love to their parents, hug their mothers and trust their parents. She also encouraged the kids to learn the value of waiting.
Aside from the story shared, Sir Lowel Andrian M. Solayao also encouraged the kids to value their families. The kid’s parents also attended a separate family session with him through 4H Club and 4P’s.
Bayawas children also sang songs together. A short reading activity with the kids was also conducted.
Seven (7) parents also attended the program.
