Pilar Reading Center has started in July 2010. After 5 years and 9 months, it has conducted series of innovations and interventions. One of which is Reading Camp.

Objectives of the camp ( which was started last May 26-28, 2015 ) are 1. Assess the reading needs of the camper 2. Address the need according to his/her level. 3.Provide good learning environment to the camper 4. Relay the progress report to the parents.

Last year, 21 pupils/ students attended, two of which are from Laguna. This year, 20 campers joined the camp.

The 2nd Reading Camp with the theme “Pagbabasa Tungo Sa Pagbabago” encourages every camper to value learning and to value books. During their stay in the camp, the campers’ mental and social development are encouraged.

Each camper was encouraged to be ‪#‎Productive‬, ‪#‎Responsible‬ and‪#‎Creative‬. The campers are encouraged to improve knowledge, skills, attitude and values. After all, three days will pass but their learning experiences during those three days will last.
